Why Are We Different?
When you purchase a Shaklee herbal or botanical product, it has the best of science and the best of nature combined. Quality control, which provides both safety and efficacy, is a big part of the Shaklee difference.
Start-up MLM companies do not spend money on quality assurance, which is not profitable according to our vice-president in charge of Product Development, who worked with a start up company for several years before coming to Shaklee.
That company required the contract manufacturer to assay each batch for E.coli and salmonella bacteria. Each month her company rejected several batches of product because the E.coli and salmonella levels were too high to be safe to distribute.
To her knowledge none of the other companies that obtained products from this contractor do any quality control checks on the products. No doubt they were selling contaminated products.
Shaklee manufactures all the herbal and nutritional products in the state-of-art-pharmaceutical grade facility in Norman, Oklahoma where you can be assured the quality you expect from Shaklee.
Dr. Shaklee's low temperature, low pressure process for tableting the products is used to keep the life in the high quality ingredients used in the Shaklee formulas.
If the pharmaceutical companies market herbs of the same quality as the vitamins they have marketed through the years, they will be low quality. Drug store vitamins are the poorest quality available.

| A plastic lemon would be like the vitamin that is man made in a laboratory.
Synthetic vitamins are sold in department stores and pharmacies. These vitamins act as a stimulant in the body. There are no live enzymes so the body is not able to use the synthetic ingredients (tar, plastics, coal) for nourishment.

The juice is made from real fruit, but the outside is plastic, and that would be similar to vitamins that are sold as natural.
